POSTDOCTORAL POSITION FOR MODELING VIRAL DYNAMICS AND EVOLUTION

A postdoctoral position is available in theoretical and computational biology of pathogens at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris. We seek a talented, motivated individual skilled in analytic mathematics, especially in approximate methods. Successful candidate should have prior experience in modeling biological systems. PhD in any area of applied mathematics (physics, ecology, genetics) is required, preferably within 2 to 10 years. The candidate will join a new group working on theory and experimental applications of evolution and immunology of pathogens. The unique inter-disciplinary  landscape of the rapidly growing Alessandra Carbone's Laboratory of Computational and Quantitative Biology within the Institute of Biology Paris Seine, unites modelers,  experimentalists, statisticians, and bioinformatics experts to cover a broad range of biological topics.
For further information please refer to our website http://www.lcqb.upmc.fr/PathoEvo.
The position is initially for 2 years, starting January 1, 2018, with the possibility of extension for another year.
